When Will I Get Fiber? Sebago Grant Area Phase Timeline Announced!

The #1 question we get from future customers is WHEN? We're excited to let you know that we have an estimated timeline for customer activations in the Sebago Grant area.

You may have seen our crews on the roads making the poles ready and attaching strand to hold the fiber cables. Reliability is top of mind for our team. Our telecom shelter received its second generator last week to give us additional capacity and run-time in the event of an extended power outage.

Today, our crews hung the main feed cables on Sebago Road.

The first custom-designed fiber distribution cable shipped today! It will be installed on Sebago Road and West Shore Road in Sebago next week! We will then splice it, and begin installing drops to homes on those roads. This means that our first customers will go live in October! We'll then branch out as illustrated in the phase map below.

Please note that this timeline is approximate. Sometimes factors beyond our control (such as weather) get in the way. You'll notice that 2 areas are scheduled for June of 2025, a bit later than other areas. This is due to some challenges resulting from necessary utility pole replacements, which CMP is responsible for. Some specific streets in other areas may also have this issue. We are working closely with CMP to resolve those challenges as quickly as possible.

So what's next?

When we are ready to begin installations in your neighborhood, you'll receive an email from Sebago Fiber (signups@sebagofiber.net). We'll ask you to confirm your plan choice, sign the service agreement, and confirm your home location. You'll be given access to our Client Zone to set up your payment information (but you won't be charged until your service is installed). When our technicians are ready to perform your installation, you'll get a notification and choose your installation day/time.

If you are not available for installation until spring - PLEASE go ahead and complete your service agreement and sign up confirmation when it is sent to you. You do not need to schedule your installation/activation until you return to the area, as long as you schedule your installation to be completed prior to July 1.

If you need assistance with the signup process, please contact us at signups@sebagofiber.net.

If you have questions about plans and pricing, visit sebagofiber.net/residential.

We look forward to having you as a customer.
