I need additional wifi coverage for my home. What should I do?
The Eero routers support a "mesh" network. This means you can add additional routers to your network to expand coverage throughout your home. We will place your first device in a central location, but many homes do need additional coverage due to construction, layout, or size.

You can purchase Eero wifi extenders or additional routers directly from Amazon and add them the network. (We're happy to assist if you need help with the installation.)

We've provided some links below to help you find the correct devices. If you would prefer to lease a device from Sebago Fiber rather than buy your own, that's ok too - just let us know!

Customers on the 1G & 2G plans may purchase the single extender below which will provide up to 500mbps from the extender device. If you need higher speeds throughout your network or want to hardwire your extenders, consider the 6+ or 7 device.
I have my own router. Can I use it instead of the Eero?
For residential & small business service, the Eero router is fully tested and supported on our network. Our fiber network uses advanced settings for redundancy and failover in order to provide you with the most reliable service available. Many consumer-grade routers are unable to handle these settings, causing the user to experience "drop outs" or interruptions in service which are caused by the router's inability to manage the settings of our network.

Some consumer routers known to have this issue are: Linksys, ASUS, some TPLink, some Google Nest, Nighthawk, and Orbi. Use of these routers is not supported by Sebago Fiber.
If you have a specific need that requires the use of a non-Eero router, please let us know so we can best direct you.

Commercial-grade routers such as Cisco Merkai and Ubiquiti are supported on our network (although configuration, security, and maintenance are the customer's responsibility).

Should you choose to use an unsupported router, our technical support and troubleshooting ability is limited to the fiber service coming into your home. Routers with outdated security or that are unsupported by their manufacturer may not be used with Sebago Fiber for security purposes.
